Her academic appointments have spanned esteemed institutions such as Harvard Medical School and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She earned her PhD and MPH in Health Policy and Management and Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Law and Women's Studies from Hampshire College.
